Overview
Mid/Senior Developer Bath (BA1) £30,000 - £40,000 benefits I’m working with a post-startup B2B software business in central Bath who, following the success of their core product moving into a new and hugely expandable market, are growing their existing engineering team of around 25 with an additional 10 new hires They’re looking to build strength at the coal with a total of 2 additional mid-senior level software developers. You’ll be joining either the core engineering team and contributing toward this businesses’ hugely successful main product or there are positions within the continuous integration (CI) team that will see you designing how the business builds and deploys their software. You’ll be one of the more experienced members of the team and so will have the chance to get involved in having design/architectural input and to build your experience in mentoring junior developers. The ideal person for this role either holds a degree in Computer Science (or similar) or possess significant relevant experience in programming. You’ve gone on to hold 1 or more role as a developer since and have around 3 years’ experience or more; you’re ready for something that will test and build your skills with a growing business. If you can provide evidence of personal projects and hackathon or meetup attendance that would be highly beneficial. Tech Python React.js Javascript JSON Apache CouchDB C/C++ Bash, Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) Open source Kernel ZFS/ZOL AWS VMWare About you… Minimum 2:1 in Computer Science or similar subject or significant relevant experience including in depth programming. Subsequent 3-5 years post-graduate, commercial experience as a software developer or similar using relevant technologies/languages (see tech above). Ideally you have experience in software design, team coordination or high complexity tasks. Strong programmer in two or more languages, ideally including Python. You need to be ready to accept a full-time permanent role in central Bath. These are urgent requirements and there is no option to consider a start later in the year.
