Empiric has joined forces with a leading automotive organisation as they plan to launch the next best thing as they undergo this greenfield expansion they are looking for a bi developer to develop and maintain business intelligence deliveries. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models to support new and existing Data Warehouse projects. Actively engaging in Business Intelligence deliveries from requirements gathering, through to changing and/or extending the operational data store, data warehouse (Kimball) and data marts. Identify report data requirements and create comprehensive technical design specifications. Build and maintain data mart structures that will be used by the business Design and develop high quality, high performing dashboards and reports. Develop and maintain complex reports that include sub-reports and drill down capabilities. Gather, inspect, clean, transform and model data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making. Manage and maintain current SSRS reporting environment. Deliver testing, maintain test scenarios, user training and user acceptance testing Work on any ad hoc related projects or tasks as provided by IT Director. DESIRED EXPERIENCE: A clear understanding of database structures and dimensional modelling. In-depth understanding of ETL processes. Strong T-SQL skills and experience of application using stored procedures. Experience of Analysis Services data model development (tabular). 5 years of SSAS tabular Model Design and development. 5 years' experience of using Power BI to drive valuable and innovative insight. Experience of developing end to end Data Warehousing solutions using the Microsoft stack. Use of various Power Bi sources such as Web services, Dynamics, Databases, Big data sources, streaming sources. Requirement gathering and design skills.
