Overview
Education World are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working people to work as Support Workers on a supply basis in Special Educational Needs (SEND) residential schools on a temporary / part-time basis, predominately throughout Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster. What’s the job? This position is ideal for those who are seeking a new challenge and wanting to gain more experience working with children in a SEND environment. This would also be ideal for those not wanting full-time employment or even those at university or college part-time. This is predominately to be as a 'Key Worker’ for the next few months. You will be asked to work at a small variety of different schools in the Rotherham / Doncaster area so having your own transport would be ideal. On any day you will be assisting within a section of the residential homes within a small group of residents and staff. You will be asked to help with their everyday life including cooking, cleaning, shopping in the local village, personal care requirements, play time, school work and much more. This work is not for the feint hearted, so would be ideal for someone with a good work ethic and ideally previous experience as a Residential Support Worker (RSW) or within a SEND School. Shifts come in blocks of 8 for Early or late shifts, or 10 hours for a waking night shift. Pay You will receive between £9 - £12 per hour (depending on your experience and shift required).
