Senior Business Development and Account Manager – £55K basic salary uncapped commission – Flexible based in London The Role Are you an ambitious, enthusiastic and charismatic salesperson and strategic thinker? The successful candidate will have a personal assistant to handle their administration, so you can direct your talents almost exclusively towards managing accounts, negotiating with clients, building relationships and growing the business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in growing the startup, which has doubled its revenue every two months since inception in 2019. The key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to: Go the extra mile to meet sales targets and facilitate future sales. Contacting potential clients to establish rapports and close deals. Grow a sales team as the company continues to grow. Liaise with co-founders to identify growth opportunities and scale the business. The Company The company helps innovative Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) apply for six or seven figure government grants. They have created an innovative, smart platform that writes most of the application on the business’ behalf. The platform is a world first, and saves SMEs around 6 weeks of application time and is five times more successful than applying solo. The Person The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager: Minimum 2 years of sales experience, with 5 years preferable. BSc or Business degree. Leadership experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Ultimately an ideal candidate will be looking to grow a sales team around them as the company continues to grow. Ability to converse with prospects in basic business terms (e.g. understanding of value propositions and identification of good business plans). Scientifically literate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive attitude.
