Overview
Reed Nurse Health Doctor are currently recruiting for an NMC Registered Nurse (Band 7), to ensure the Corona Virus Response service is delivered safely, consistently and to an appropriate standard. This is an on-going temporary role, 80% home based and 20% on site within the Clinical Hub in Manchester. JOB TITLE: Shift Manager Covid 19 Response Service DEPARTMENT: Clinical Hub Manchester REPORTING TO: Clinical Director (Covid 19 – Response Service) LINE MANAGER TO: Nurse Floorwalkers WORK PATTERN: Rolling rota, shift work over a 24/7 period including Bank holidays. The Role As a Shift Manager you will be required to provide leadership to your team to ensure the effective provision of the service they provide and to champion change. You will ensure that your staff are motivated and express a positive attitude towards their role. You will address any issues and concerns that may inhibit your staff from achieving both their personal and organisational goals. To work as an autonomous practitioner to support other practitioners within he operational environment using knowledge, skills, critical thinking and professional judgement supported by clinical assessment software. To provide healthcare advice in line with the information that has been centrally agreed by the Covid response and ensure that all agents are adhering to the advice given within the Covid 19 Online Tool and the FAQs. To liaise and communicate clinical information verbally and via technical links, where available, with health economy partners to ensure continuity of care for the caller. Be responsible whilst on shift for clinician escalation from local teams and other sites via a specific help line facility. To ensure clinical safety and maintain a high level of quality service to those patients who call the Covid 19 Response Service. Pay Rates PAYE Day £22.39 Night/Saturday £29.11 Sunday/Bank Holiday £35.82 Umbrella Day £30.22 Night/Saturday £39.29 Sunday/Bank Holiday £48.35 Requirements NMC Registered General Nurse Experience of managing a team An up to date Enhanced DBS Recent Clinical Experience Supervisory experience Triage Experience Extensive clinical knowledge Confident in handling complex calls Clinical governance experience Teaching experience is desirable Knowledge of the geographical area is desirable If this role is of interest to you please apply by 03/04/2020.
