Overview
Spire Southampton Hospital are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance team responsible for the continual running of our hospital. Please note you will be required to work on-call to cover nights and weekends on average one week in four. Spire Southampton provides a wide range of services including day care and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery, and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities. The hospital works in partnership with local NHS acute hospital trusts, for example in recent provision of robotic surgery, and there is a large refurbished outpatient department along with extensive diagnostic imaging services Duties and responsibilities Working as part of our Estates and Engineering team you will be responsible for providing planned and reactive maintenance for all equipment, grounds and fabric within the hospital. This will include analysing faulty equipment through to onsite repairs and liaising closely with specialist contractors. Although responsible as part of the team for all general maintenance, you will be expected to take the lead on our Electrical equipment.
