Vetro are urgently looking for full-time, permanent Support Workers to join a residential care team, who provide support to adults with autism and complex needs. The home near Redruth is part of a leading learning disabilities organisation covering England and Wales. Responsibilities: You will be a key member of the team, ensuring high standards of person-centred care which will involve supporting activities in the home and encouraged to participate fully in the local community. Developing independence and life skills, as well as supporting personal care and general household duties such as cooking and cleaning. Due to challenging aspects of the role, emotional resilience, flexible and a calm nature is key. Coupled with a positive energy and enthusiasm to participate in extra curricular activities with residents such as trampolining, gym, swimming to list a few of the many activities encouraged. So no qualifications or previous care experience is necessary. Working Pattern: Services operate 24/7, so you will be required to work shifts on a rota basis, hours vary from service to service but are typically between 07:00 - 22:30. You will be required to work a proportion of weekends, sleeping in and on calls. Due to operational requirements the organisation are unable to provide school hour shift patterns.
