Long Term Maternity Cover waking nights support worker job - Peterborough Your new company You will be working in a specialist service based in the heart of Peterborough. This service is a 6 bed supported living environment with a passion for a making a difference. The home specialises around Learning disabilities and in particular Prader-Willi Syndrome. This is a fantastic job opportunity for somebody who is driven and passionate about making a difference. Your new role As a support worker you will be encouraging people to make the right choices in life whilst also making positive changes. Your job will be a waking nights support worker for a minimum contract of at least 9 months. The shift pattern will be 2 nights on 2 nights off continuously working shifts of 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM. You will be dealing with complex needs and challenging situations daily. There is no personal care involved in this role as its a support role, encouraging positive behaviour and self sufficiency. What you'll need to succeed Please only apply for this job if you have been working in a similar setting for at least 6 months within the last 2 year period. You must be resilient and quick thinking. This role will be challenging so an ability to adjust and think on your feet is needed.
