Overview

Sales Engineer/Administrator Our client are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer to support current and future business requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world leading supplier, you will play a vital role in the realisation of the business objectives defined internally and by our customer. The position will predominantly be based at the Sales Office in Milton Keynes, however there will be opportunities to travel to customer sites and manufacturing plants with Europe and Northern Africa. What the Sales Engineer/Administrator will be required to do: Analyse engineering drawing data and reporting metrics to prepare internal documentation for quotation purposes. Work closely with buyers and engineers to achieve total delivered cost improvements. Support the administrative upkeep, development of databases, reports and costing tools using Excel and in-house software Preparation and submission of quotations Support meetings with customer and internal, preparation of meeting agenda, conduct meetings and prepare minutes Control and report metrics required within the function Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders Support benchmarking and cost driven activities to ensure feasibility and compliance of ideas. What the Sales Engineer/Administrator will need: Engineering background/knowledge of harness architecture is preferred but not essential An interest in developing engineering & technical knowledge Be able to communicate effectively at all levels with emphasis on a high degree of customer contact/liaison. Excellent analytical skills and strong organisation skills Excellent verbal and written communication Commercial awareness Excellent Computing skills, including MS office Outlook & Excel inc. Macros (preferred not essential) Be proactive and work well within a team International/UK driving licence Willingness and flexibility to travel to customer sites to support above. Hours for this job role are Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm & Friday's from 7:30am to 12:30pm. You will receive a 30 minute lunch break daily with two 10 minute breaks during the afternoon. You will also received 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
