As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for clinical practice, the delivery of quality clinical care, and a customer-focused driven service with the Nursing team. You will also support the Charge Nurse and Lead Nurse in the management of the clinical areas, including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care. This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week – this includes flexibility with regards to working hours. The attractive and competitive salary for this role starts at £39,135 and will be dependent upon skills and experience. Duties & Responsibilities Supports the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the management of the Interventional Suite. Assist in the provision of expert advice and interventions within radiology (this includes Sedation) that maintains and improves standards of care and promotes a seamless service within a multi-professional framework. The post holder will demonstrate the skills for assessing and interpreting specialist acute and other patient conditions, initiating actions as appropriate. Supports the Lead Nurse in investigating and responding to accidents, complaints, and untoward incidents and other significant events. Contribute to the principles of clinical governance, ensuring that quality standards are set and monitored. Ensure that clinical risk management and clinical audit are an integral part and carried out. Contribute towards a multi-professional approach in the management of patients within Interventional Radiology and Imaging. Participate in the development of a strategic plan for Interventional Radiology, under the direction of the Lead Nurse that includes patient-centered, evidence-based programs of care, a continuous quality improvement program, and a regular written review.
