Overview
Application Engineer required to support customers of hi-tech electronic sensor products. The client develops devices used by industries such as defence, aerospace, metrology and drones. The Application Engineer is a customer facing role and you will solve problems and create documentation – datasheets and training manuals for existing and new products. This role requires an international travel commitment of approximately four to six weeks per year. The Application Engineer role will • Provide product support to customers through problem solving via telephone, email, and attendance at trade shows • Create product specification documents and datasheets to help customer • Build relationships with customers by providing training and support in house, at client site and trade shows • Provide product set up, calibration advice, data analysis and management for clients. • including hardware, software and accessories For this role you should have the following skills and experience. • Experience in a customer facing position support business clients for hi-tech electronic, sensors or engineering products. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience writing product information and training material. • Degree Level education – at least a 2:1 in Electronic Engineering, Optoelectronics, Physics, Engineering, Aerospace or similar. • A broad technical understanding of electronics, software, hardware, data acquisition, analysis and management. • Skills with some of the following, Excel, LabVIEW, C#, visual basic, Matlab, MS Office, • Willing to undertake regular international travel.
