Overview

Head of Finance job in North Wales for a leading business paying up to £75,000 package. Hays Senior Finance have been appointed to recruit a new Head of Finance to a successful, profitable and growing business. This is a new role following continued growth and a business restructure. The Head of Finance will form part of the senior management team and report into the CFO who is UK based. The Head of Finance will support the Commercial, Contracts and Operations teams by improving processes and focusing on business efficiency. The role holder will take high level, complex data and deliver it to key stakeholders across the business whilst also managing a finance department of six staff. Key responsibilities will include: Take full responsibility for the finance department and own all processes from Purchase Ledger through to Statutory Accounts Deliver Management Accounts with detailed commentary to the rest of the Senior Management Team at monthly Board meetings Manage the Budgeting and Forecasting model and provide monthly re-forecasts required Work with the Commercial team to set pricing and produces various pricing models Ensure that all accounts are produced in accordance with FRS 102 and keep up to date with changes to accountancy standards Directly manage and develop a team of six including regular appraisals We are looking for qualified accounts with several years experience managing a team and acting as No1 in finance. You should be a proven communicator with strong commercial acumen who can work as part of a senior management team and add value in all areas. You should demonstrate an equal level of commercial experience and technical accounting knowledge as this is a hands on role. The Head of Finance will join a successful company with multiple sites in the UK and a turnover in excess of £40m. The business is owned by an International Group but largely runs autonomously.
