Group Financial Controller
Overview
Group Financial Controller job near Chester for an experienced, qualified accountant. Hays Senior Finance have been retained on an exclusive basis to support a leading Group of businesses as they restructure their finance department following considerable growth. This business has made a number of acquisitions in the last five years which have given then national coverage and considerable market share. There are further acquisitions planned. As Group Financial Controller you will be based in the head office and employed by the holding company. You will be responsible for all the Group's day to day accounting, reporting, tax and related financial matters. The Group Financial Controller will enhance the skills, knowledge and overall quality of the Divisional Finance Departments. Responsibilities will include: Provision of management information and analysis at Board and Divisional level under FRS 102 Production of annual statutory financial statements, liaising with auditors Group cash flow preparation, including FX analysis Tax compliance in conjunction with external advisers Management of the annual three-year business plan On-going project work including due diligence on potential acquisitions, supporting on re-financing, systems development across the business, commercial bid writing and pricing Deputise for the CFO during Board meetings Provide ad hoc reporting to the Board and to external funders as required We are ideally looking for ACA qualified accountants with a wealth of experience across complex businesses who can hit the ground running. You will have direct access to the Board and the Chairman, and will need to gain their confidence and trust immediately. Whilst naturally possessing all the technical qualities of a Group Financial Controller you must also be an excellent communicator. You will work closely with Divisional Finance Directors in order to role out best practice, standardise reporting and fully understand the commercial drivers for each business. The role holder will join a successful group of businesses operating in a fast-paced sector in which they are a leader and innovator. A competitive salary is enhanced by 25 days holiday increasing a day each year to 30 days, 8% pension contribution, private medical and a 25% bonus scheme.
