Quality Engineer
Overview
My client is a well established engineering company who supply precision engineered products to the oil & gas, aerospace, nuclear and power generation sector. They are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. Your overall remit will be to be involved in the internal and external audit processes and ensure all processes and procedures are compliant to the relevant QMS and ISO standards. Your duties will include: - review completed documentation and material certifications against specified requirements - interpret industry and client specifications - create quality, inspections and test plans - plan and perform audits both internally and at supplier sites - lead investigations into non-conformances, internal rejections and customer complaints - report on overall quality performance to management - ensure QPulse system is up to date and accurate - provide direction and guidance in Root Cause Analysis Applicants will be qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level in either Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or Quality Management. You will be a certified Auditor or Lead Auditor of Quality Management Systems. My client would like to hear from candidates with specific experience in the aerospace engineering sector who has gained experience and knowledge of the AS9100 quality standards. However, candidates with experience in the oil & gas, power generation or nuclear sectors will also be considered. You will have knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and API Q1 as related to engineering or manufacturing.
