Overview
My client, a well-established Private school with notable alumni is seeking a strong Senior Software Developer to join their growing and exciting team. Overview The Senior Developer will be a key part of the Information Services & Development team responsible for the development and maintenance of the IS systems and applications that support the schools' teaching and professional services. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the technical implementation and maintenance of the schools’ bespoke solutions Work with the Head of Information Services and Development to manage technical projects and deliverables for effective results Responsible for co-ordinating the provision of the department’s services in the absence of the Head of Information Services and Development Utilise technical and leadership skills to support and implement the deliverables set by the Head of Information Services and Development and the overall strategic aims of the department Develop detailed requirement specifications, including functional and user interface designs for new systems and system changes. Provision of technical guidance for the development of comprehensive software designs and leading on the development of documentation for internal and third-party systems including integration and systems interoperation Utilise technical skills and experience in the development of high-quality software to meet the requirements of the schools’ users and to agreed designs Develop and co-ordinate robust test cases and testing programmes to ensure applications meet the required quality criteria prior to handover Ensuring that information security and data protection are at the forefront of all systems Utilise technical and information security skills and experience to complete risk assessments for new systems and services, changes to current systems and services and other areas where necessary Working with the wider information services and development team in the administration and management of the schools MIS and third-party systems and in the delivery of management information and reporting to the school’s senior management and governors Any other duties reasonably requested by your line manager. Technical Skills .NET and C# SQL Management Information systems Third party systems experience, i.e. PayPal, Parent Pay etc. - Desirable SSRS tony.const
