Overview

Based in Manchester for a leading Housing Association, this is a Finance Business Partner supporting the Growth Team. Paying £43,000 - £48,000 p.a., it has a 35-hour week, flexible working, 27 days holiday bank holidays and an excellent pension. The Job This Finance Business partner provides the finance support for the housing associations Growth team ensuring development expenditure is budgeted, forecast and reported on accurately. Lead maintenance, reconciliation and reporting of the group’s taxation compliance. Key aspects Responsible for the delivery of financial reporting, forecasting and development of annual budgets for the Growth team, including preparation of the annual budget, management accounts and tax returns, supporting the Financial Reporting Manager in the timely delivery of the audited financial statements and liaising with auditors at year end. Be the finance lead for a business area with an annual budget of £40 million capital spend with significant technical work of capital/revenue split, programming, analysing and appraisal work. Support the role of the Development Appraisal Group providing critical challenge and support of proposals, including the implementation and operation of any financial appraisal and project accounting applications for the property development projects. Provide tailored financial support for grant funded projects and initiatives from concept to completion, including assessment of viability and accounting for grants. Lead the Group’s tax and VAT compliance including providing advice to colleagues across the business. Attend management team meetings and be a proactive ambassador for finance, leading the delivery of finance services and being a point of contact on all finance related matters to all stakeholders. The Candidate You must be a fully qualified accountant. Experience of project accounting through the project life cycle and development accounting. You will have the natural ability to communicate clearly and explain complex financial matters to non-finance colleagues. You must have excellent financial modelling and Excel skills, and be able to use and interpret financial appraisal and modelling applications. The Benefits Excellent newly refurbished offices.
