Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of People to join a leading and progressive organisation in the Sunderland area on an interim basis for 12 months. Expect an exciting opportunity where you will work closely with the Leadership teams in order to continue the delivery of the people roadmaps for FY21 whilst the current Head of People is on maternity leave. You will be responsible for delivering against the People Strategy and will work closely with the CEO, COO and Leadership team. One of your key focuses will be upon leading and supporting the People team who are a mix of specialists and generalists in HR, Recruitment, L&D and Internal Comms & Wellbeing, as well as supporting UK payroll. You and your team will be leading on projects including the development and embedding of PDR’s, talent attraction strategies, Reward development, Manager Development programmes, engagement throughout the organisation and overall providing an exceptional colleague experience. We are looking for someone who has experience of managing a team of multi-disciplined HR professionals, personal experience of working as a business partner ideally within a leadership team and developing strong, proactive and collaborative working relationships. We will also be looking for extensive working knowledge of UK employment law.
