Communications Systems Engineer
Overview
Here within our Maritime Communications business we're searching for a Communications Systems Engineer to join our team. Working on a range of Royal Navy projects we provide support and development to military communication systems and installations - from legacy through to future technologies. As our new Communications Systems Engineer you'll undertake design, development, system integration, testing and acceptance activities in support of those systems. This will include, the development of architecture solutions, the production of technical reports, the evaluation of equipment in lab environments and its integration in military and commercial platforms. Communications technology is constantly evolving, and this role offers you the opportunity to understand and get hands on with the latest technology - and help us ensure our clients can deploy it in current and future projects. The fit: To do this role you'll need to be in possession of a degree qualification in either an Engineering, Science or Communications based discipline. You'll also need to be able to use engineering tools such as MATLAB, Simulink and LabVIEW, plus have a good understanding of systems engineering principles. Most importantly you'll need to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multi-functional team and be able to quickly learn and adapt new and existing technologies.
