Principle Technical Author A leading defence client based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, is seeking an experience Technical Author. This is initially a 12 month contract but likely to be extended. Job Description The Principal Engineer (Technical Documentation) will undertake authoring tasks in the support of the delivery of Technical Publications deliverables. Activities may be undertaken alone or as the lead of a Technical Publications Team producing technical documentation with the support of a Consultant Engineer (Technical Documentation). The duties of the role are to utilise best practice, professional engineering judgement, initiative and skill in discharging allocated Technical Publications tasks in a positive manner within required constraints to produce consistent and coherent outputs. Responsibilities Support Documentation - General Understanding Structure a DMRL Understand and implement Tech Pubs standards and business rules Generate Data Modules Generate hard copy Technical Documentation (BRs etc.) Generate Training Aid Book (TAB) & Composite Diagram (CD) Generate Damage Control Headquarters Documentation Illustrations Create Illustrated Parts Documentation Validation of Technical Publications Collate deliveries of data to the IETP production team Timescales and deliverables are achieved within the available budget Additional Agency Information Pay Rate £35.08 PAYE/ £44.21 If the position is of interest, please apply or contact Matthew Crook This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89958492
