Data Engineer (GCP) Manchester £35,000 - £55,000 excellent package MBN are working with a very well-known retail brand, supporting their growing data function, as they make their move from legacy data storage to Google Cloud Platform. The long-term view is to build a comprehensive analytical platform to support all areas of the business with valuable data driven insights. You’ll be working closely with the Head of Data Engineering and the Analytics team to develop the data lake, set up data ingestion processes, and support the creation of data infrastructure and governance. They have a very friendly culture, with creative freedom and red tape is kept to a minimum. Dogs are in the office, with the sole purpose of keeping the team motivated and providing smiles on the tougher days We’re ideally looking for Data professionals with Python coding experience and exposure to cloud technologies from a Data Engineering or Analytics perspective – but other programming languages and cloud will be considered. Skills/Tech: · Python (preferred), Scala, or Java · GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AWS, or Azure · DevOps - CI/CD experience desirable · Spark/PySpark desirable · BI experience desirable – Tableau is their main BI tool We’re proud to support this ambitious client with huge aspirations for 2020.
