Job Title: Infrastructure Manager Location: Leeds Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 Excellent benefits Job type: Permanent, Full time We are Rabb-IT, a leading IT Solutions and Managed Service Provider based in Leeds, now seeking to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Manager, not only to look after our own network, but also to monitor and manage our Clients' varied network configurations, pro-actively maintaining up-time for them. The Role: Our continued growth, providing world-class technology solutions to our diverse Client base, means you will be part of a dedicated team, being responsible for the delivery of business projects, typically designing and building Client solutions and then planning, documenting and managing your time to deliver projects efficiently, within budgetary requirements and on time. There are also upgrades to technical infrastructure to perform and manage, along with maintaining Clients' systems via remote monitoring applications (RMM). In most cases, the team is the last escalation point for complex service tickets, providing expert knowledge, diagnostics and resolutions to our Clients across both the latest infrastructure technologies and legacy systems. You won't be a desk-jockey or a clock-watcher; you will enjoy supporting Clients face to face, creating relationships and going above and beyond to deliver excellent Customer Service. You will be equally passionate about IT as you are about Customer Service; probably seen as an 'IT Geek' amongst your friends Key Responsibilities: Protecting Clients' systems and data, with a thorough and robust approach to back-up monitoring; infrastructure management and monitoring Maintain the backup plans Maintain all systems, applications, security and monitoring tools Recommend software and hardware upgrades, patches and/or replacement Provide patching plans and schedules and agree timelines and budget configurations with Clients Responsible for effective IT project delivery with end-to-end ownership Keeping project plans / documentation up to date Providing a positive technical support experience, both internally & externally Provide technical support and investigations of IT related problems and coordinate the implementation of the appropriate solution with the Client Identifying and work towards service improvements Assessing, prioritising and managing workload ensuring business goals are achieved The Candidate: Required Skills: Exceptional listener and communicator Highly analytical thinking Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritise Results driven with a strong attention to detail Must have the ability to participate within a technical team Ability to highlight and manage service risks and own action remedial service improvement actions Ability to lead action plans for key infrastructure projects Ability to develop technical documentation for the non-technical user. Flexible, calm and approachable with 'can do' attitude Full driving licence with own vehicle Qualifications and Experience: 5 years' experience in IT Support with proven experience at a 3rd line level, preferably with an established MSP Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server 2008 to 2016 and Exchange Server 2008 to 2016, with demonstrable diagnostics and resolution experience Working knowledge of Active Directory, Virtual Servers, VMWare or Hyper-V, SharePoint, Office 365 Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs Experience of daily system checks, servers, backups, firewalls and anti-virus MCSE/MCITP Enterprise or Server Administrator Knowledge of VOIP Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software, particularly server builds Experience of Server / Workstation hardware (Upgrade/Migration/Rollout) Mobile technologies - Android / iOS Training and Development is at the heart of our culture; we will support your development with an individual training plan, to fill your knowledge gaps.
