Overview
3rd Line IT Engineer - £30k-£40K - Wallingford I am seeking a 3rd Line IT Engineer to work for a market-leading and rapidly growing organisation on a variety of projects and BAU queries, based in Wallingford The successful candidate for this role will possess strong skills across IT infrastructure, ideally with a strong grasp of Windows Server and associated technologies. You will have experience with Microsoft and Linux environments as well as knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper V. you will also be using Azure, Citrix and O365. The right candidate will have had exposure in most of the following technical areas: Windows Server VMware O365 Active Directory Azure Microsoft Office SQL Server SharePoint Networking Linux Systems Citrix Hyper V The successful 3rd Line IT Engineer will be capable of working under their own initiative and setting their own workload targets. There is the option to move into line management positions and be setting targets workloads for more junior Engineers. You will be working as a key member of a small support team so you will have a key role in providing the company with a technical roadmap moving forward as well as playing a key role in the design of the projects you are working on. As the positions exists as part of a restructure of the IT Support department, there will be a strong focus on standardising and streamlining processes. The role itself will suit an individual with all round experience of IT support who is looking to move up into a more senior role. You will play a key role in the decision making process across IT.
