Overview
A Transport Planning and Highways Design Consultancy are looking for a Senior Highways Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Farringdon. You will join the highways design team, in which there is 10 staff. The company have two offices and have around 50 staff in total. You will be working on a variety of development design projects, focussing on roads and drainage. You will be able to demonstrate the following: You have a Civil Engineering degree, equivalent, or experience in similar technical engineering discipline Experience in developing all aspects of transport and highway infrastructure schemes from concept through to detailed design Ability to work independently Experience of performing in accordance with agreed budgets and programmes with limited supervision Enthusiasm to support and encourage junior members of the team Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong numeracy and analytical skills Experience using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Desirable skills and experience: Will be a Chartered Engineer (ICE/CIHT/ similar), or demonstrate you are working towards this Experience in urban design, local roads & streets and public realm Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D On site delivery experience, knowledge of scheme implementation, inspections, resident engineer duties Drainage design experience Experience in business development and client relationshipsHerm The company are offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
