Live in available I am currently working with a stunning boutique hotel in the heart of Devon looking for a passionate & experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team with aspirations of achieving further accolades and recognition within the industry. As Sous chef you will need to demonstrate a passion and desire to be one of the main driving forces within the kitchen brigade, dedicated to pushing the team forward to achieve culinary excellence, whilst also developing the skills and knowledge of the junior chefs and assisting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen. A strong belief in the sourcing of the highest quality local ingredients is essential as well as previous experience within a minimum of 2AA Rosette standard kitchens. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef to join one of the highest rated kitchens in the South West, with the view of career progression and aspirations of achieving further awards. Live in available MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Previous experience within 2/3 AA Rosette at a Senior level Well-disciplined with strong organisational skills Minimise waste, and maintain a clean, well stock-controlled kitchen. Ability to create new and exciting dishes. To be able the develop young chefs and keep then motivated. Strong knowledge of local and seasonal produce. To maintain good communication between restaurant and kitchen. Have a hands-on management style and be able to be a quick problem solver.
