Overview

This well-established growing SME are looking for an accounts assistant to join their team. This is a new role within the business due to continued growth and will suit someone at the early stages of their career or someone with 2-3 years experience looking for a new challenge. Accounts Assistant - About The Role In this role you will be assisting with the day to day running of the accounts department. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance manager and take on further responsibility over time. Your key responsibilities will include: • Coding and sorting purchase invoices as well as liaising with suppliers regarding payment dates. • Complete quarter and year end which will include accruals and prepayments. • Manage and maintain both the purchase and sales ledgers. • Supplier statement reconciliations. • Complete quarterly VAT returns using Sage MTD software. • Download and save all monthly bank statements. • Supporting the finance manager with any other ad hoc duties. The successful Accounts Assistant will have: Previous experience in a similar position. A relevant degree or actively studying AAT/ACCA OR CIMA Minimum of 1 year in an accounts role.
