JOB TITLE: Premium Houseware Designer SALARY: £25,000- £30,000 CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent The COMPANY Our client is a supplier of high-quality bespoke food and drink packaging, baskets, hampers, vases, pots etc for well-known high street retailers in the giftware sectors such as John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. The ROLE This is an exciting role involving developing on-trend houseware products for household name retailers. The successful product designer will be required to: To look at existing designs and to adapt and modify to client specification. Understand a brief from a client and to be creative. To visit trade shows, gift fairs and retail stores to spot trends. Use mood boards. Liaising with clients to co-ordinate design. To visit oversea trade fairs and suppliers. The CANDIDATE Our client is looking for Packaging Designer applicants with the following experience: Experience of working to and understanding a brief. You must have knowledge of CAD programmes such as Auto Cad. Experience of creative design. TO be up to date with the latest trends Real attention to detail with the ability to critique your own work.
