We are actively seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the Johnsons family. The focus of this role will be dealing with the sales ledger, however the right candidate would have the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Manager in preparing management accounts, cash flow forecasts and other interesting and varied accounting-based tasks and reports. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role, with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. You must have strong IT skills with a confident approach to your duties and whilst undertaking a multitude of tasks. You will be based at our fantastic new Head Offices in Sarre, Kent, and due to our location, a full UK driving licence is desirable with access to your own vehicle. Key Responsibilities: Sales Ledger - Invoicing, aged debt, reporting, credit checks. Banking - BACS/Cheques, credit card processing and cash reconciliations. Maintain accurate records of cash reconciliation activities. To undertake daily/weekly posting of sales information. Demonstrate accurate input, investigate and resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner, escalating internally where required. Seek to identify process improvements and implement. To undertake varied and general administrative tasks as required, ensuring that they are completed accurately and in a timely manner. To undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed to ensure the smooth running of the office and to support the growth and success of the business. Key Skills and experience: Sage Account knowledge. GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language. Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Excel). Good communication skills. Committed team player Trustworthy, diligent, self-motivated and self-disciplined. Strong organisation and time management skills. Ability to work to strict deadlines. The Package: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 08.30 - 17:00 £18,000 - £21,000 dependant on experience. 28 days holiday per annum (incl bank holidays). Company pension scheme.
