Overview
We are currently working with a Suffolk based construction company who are seeking an experienced contracts/ construction manager to join the team to help oversee the general delivery of the projects in the London area. The company work in both the commercial and residential sectors with current projects including up to a £20m single house build and a unique commercial centre for climbing activities. With site Managers in place the Director wants a highly motivated professional to come in and take on the role he has been doing so he can step back and focus on the expansion of the company. The ideal candidate will be an efficient and motivated leader who has an excellent eye for detail. Role: To be a positive and inspirational leader who actively engages with his workforce to enhance the productivity of projects Leading various sites, with a fully integrated and dynamic relationship between design, construction and commercial activities Demonstrate a positive 'can-do' attitude at all times whilst understanding the impact of decisions on all aspects of the projects To fully understand design, procurement, planning, programming, progress reporting and construction To report openly and honestly at all times, acknowledging problems, analysing and providing solutions Supervising Site Managers, contractors and internal staff on a daily basis Criteria: Strong track record of managing multiple projects concurrently of various sizes and at different stages, delivered on time and to budget Main contracting background Excellent all round construction knowledge and experience Private and public sector experience Strong understanding on UK building regulations Excellent management skills with the ability to get the best out of full site teams Full UK drivers' license Able to commute and work in Ipswich are one day a week
