Senior Accountant - Music & Entertainment Specialists - Accountancy Practice The Client: AJ Chambers are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Managers specialising in music and entertainment. You will be directly working with artists, entrepreneurs and boutique companies as well as larger organisations. The Role: Reporting directly to the Directors you will take responsibility for client’s compliance requirements- which includes accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies and Partnerships, and overseeing the bookkeeping, VAT returns, and day to day client needs. Assisting with training of junior members of the team. Reporting to manager and director on all client compliance matters. Client Portfolio: Music & Entertainment industry covering Artists, Songwriters & Composers, Labels, Producers, Event & Festival Organisers providing bespoke advice on a complete range of areas from career management and planning through to royalty payments and accounts preparation. Responsibilities: Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies, LLP’s and partnerships Reviewing and finalising VAT returns Assisting the manager with the running of the client portfolio, liaising directly with clients on various matters Assisting with training of junior members of staff and overseeing their responsibilities Day to day management of client requirements including running their bank accounts Working across teams to ensure best practice is maintained Person Specification: Newly Qualified accountant, ACCA or ACA 6-12 months post qualification experience desirable IT literate with experience of Microsoft and Accounting packages, knowledge of Xero and CCH desirable but not essential. Great attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills
