Then we may have the role for you… Role: Site Manager Location: Battle Contract type: Permanent Start date: February 2020 Salary: Up to £58,000 Randstad Contact: Kieran Logan The Company A well established regional contractor that works in a range of sectors which include residential, education, health, heritage, commercial, industrial and leisure. The contractor typically delivers projects up to £8m across Sussex and up to the Surrey boarder. The Project We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join the business on a permeant basis to act as the number one on small scale projects and be a good leader on larger schemes. More recently the client is working on a 2 floor school extension, other projects include but are not limited to; small scale refurbishments, affordable housing, commercial extensions and new build community buildings. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years experience working for an SME contractor and looking for an opportunity to advance their career. The client has a good training structure and look to promote internally. The Role Working in a well resourced project team, your role will involve, but not limited to: Checking Drawings to ensure the design delivers the client's specification and for compliance Liaising with various internal departments which include design and commercial teams Attend meetings with contractors and suppliers Providing input into the design, package scopes and programme of works Management of site contractors which will include writing short-term programmes and site logistic plans Site safety- checking RAMS, making recommendations and amendments, performing site inductions, carrying out regular inspections Attending client project review meetings where budget, design, process and safety will be on the agenda Recording daily site activities About You Candidates will require relevant role and project experience. Good eye for detail. Be able to interpret construction drawings and designs. Strong man-management skills. Excellent organisation skills. Good level of IT literacy.
