Overview

Domus are recruiting a Registered Manager on behalf of a specialist care provider that support adults with Acquired Brain Injury and drug and alcohol related problems. This organisation seeks to provide and maintain a homely, supported, living environment which enables residents to feel safe, secure, valued and empowered to pursue their interests to the fullest. Their main objective is to rehabilitate and improve circumstances of individuals with a range of addictive and cognitive impairment sustained from abuse of drugs (prescribed or illicit) or alcohol. We are looking for a highly experienced Deputy or current Service/Registered Manager, who is working with a home that supports vulnerable adult groups with Acquired Brain Injury or history of Substance Misuse. Job Purpose Hold legal responsibility for one or more registered home and manage all aspects of the efficient running of the home or homes and maintain compliance with CQC regulatory requirements, Fundamental Standards and other applicable legislation within the home or homes. Assess, plan and provide for the needs of the people in his/her care through the care planning system and ensure all staff are working to the agreed care plan. Work constructively as part of trans-disciplinary service team (TDT) to ensure care and support plans are regularly reviewed and consistently and realistically meet the needs of service users, while maximizing service users' personal strengths and skills to achieve positive and agreed outcomes Ensure all plans meet statutory, commissioning and organisational requirements including cost-efficiency. Provide leadership, management and supervision for a staff team in accordance with care plan needs. Ensure that person centred approaches are developed and implemented across the company which place the needs of service users at the heart of service delivery. Person specification; A relevant management qualification (QCF Level 5 in Social Care, or equivalent) Experience of working with vulnerable adult groups with acquired brain injury or history of substance misuse Supervisory Experience in residential or community setting Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting Experience of maintaining computerised and paper-based records Understanding of policies and procedures relating to residential care Understanding of Statutory requirements related to Social Care Ability to supervise, motivate and lead staff to achieve expected standards and goals Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a range of stakeholders Receptiveness to supervision from management, and to apply ideas and knowledge gained from this feedback to current and novel contexts Ability to work as a lone worker in circumstances where there may be exposure to severe distress, verbal or physical aggression. The ability to drive/ travel regularly to meet the needs of the service.
