Overview

They say that the average job seeker spends approximately 60 seconds reading through an advert before deciding whether to apply. So with that in mind, why not get out your stop-watch and set yourself a 60 second countdown? 3 2 1 Go One of the world's leading Investment Banks and Retail Banks is in the midst of a huge recruitment drive with the aim to hire 3-5 KDB Developers into their London HQ. Sitting at both AVP and VP-level, these roles will be focused on developing state-of-the-art Front Office/Trading solutions within the Algo & Electronic Trading Team. Reporting directly into the Director of AETT, you will be essentially given the free reign and autonomy to craft said solutions in an evolving Agile environment. You will deliver cross asset KDB solutions to support FX / rates / credit and Equities businesses as prioritised, with a wider focus on both integrating and leveraging the latest Data Science platform being build into their KDB estate. Moreover, you will be given the opportunity to integrate into the current codebase and 'make it your own', focusing on the design and development of new features/components. The team itself is distributed across multiple locations (London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore) so your role will also involve a large degree of stakeholder engagement, especially with business-facing stakeholders due to the strategic nature of the team. In terms of what you need to bring to the table some (not necessarily all) of the following would be ideal: Strong Q/KDB programming skills and an appreciation for Linux OS. Proven commercial experience working on Front Office/Trading applications. Knowledge and experience of languages including C++, Python and Java. Expereince working across the full SDLC, with an understanding of Agile. Good experience working with low-latency systems. In return, this organisation is offering a diverse benefits package including an annual discretionary bonus (typically 10-20%), non-contributory pension (10%), private healthcare and flexible working hours. Moreover, they are offering a competitive base salary ranging from £70,000 - £110,000 (DOE).
