Kdb Developer - up to £80k base bonus A premier Investment Bank has an immediate vacancy for a Kdb Developer in their Front Office Cash Equities business area. Electronic Equities business provides clients Cash Equities execution on 100 markets in 30 countries worldwide. The full spectrum of execution capabilities including Sponsored and Direct Market Access, Smart Order Routing, and Algorithmic execution. Technology is a key factor to success of the business. Key Responsibilities: · Providing every day coding in KDB/q, C++/Python · Facing off to the business in different regions to understand requirements and translate it into design · Working effectively in a flat compact and regionally distributed multi-skilled team · Taking end-to-end responsibility for delivery including working with other Information Technology groups to define and deliver proper hardware infrastructure, deploying KDB components and working with Support teams to establish monitoring · Taking involvement in architectural design discussions to help shape the strategic direction of the platform Skills & Qualifications: · Proven years of KDB development and an advanced understanding of KDB architecture and design best practices · Extensive exposure to Financial Market Data · Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience · Understanding of financial services is beneficial · Experienced in team leadership and having managed employees is beneficial · Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging, and configuration management · Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals · Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ablility to communicate clearly and effectively Kdb Developer - up to £80k base bonus This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89872908
