Overview
AJ Chambers are currently working alongside a leading independent firm of accountants based in Ipswich who are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join their growing team. From sole traders and small start-ups to larger established companies, providing a personalised service is at the heart of what they do. The role will be focussed mainly on all aspects relating to tax compliance for a variety of individual clients, trusts, sole traders and partnerships with some corporate tax included. Key Responsibilities Preparation of tax returns, drafting letters/emails in support of these returns and explaining various tax issues if necessary, sending these to the clients and submitting them to HMRC Advising clients of their tax liabilities and reminding them of the dates and deadlines to comply with, managing clients’ affairs on a daily basis and ensuring all deadlines are met, dealing with client’s problems and answering their queries as and when received Preparation of Income Tax computations Liaising directly with the clients and HM Revenue & Customs in connection with the tax liabilities and any tax compliance matters, as and when they arise Dealing/assisting with HMRC enquiries and collating the necessary information, contacting clients for this information, if necessary Preparation of the annual forms P11D Knowledge of Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax Additional information: Accountancy practice experience is essential Competent managing their own workload - and will be liaising and reporting to the Director and assisting other senior staff when required.
