Overview
Our client is a successful, growing firm, focused on Research and Development Tax Claims and offering flexible hours, some home-working, regular team socials, no timesheets and a professional, yet fun and relaxed working culture to a capable Supervisor or Manager for an important job in Derby. Specialising in an area of tax, R&D, which has been growing quickly for a number of years now, this business operate as specialist advisors to find tax savings or rebates for their customers. Their growth has been very impressive and they now have a significant central Derby presence in staff numbers, with some of those office based and others working largely in the field. The firm are city centre based, have the benefit of a central location, very flexible working hours and conditions, the ability to work from home semi-regularly, there are no timesheets, the office is social and friendly and the firm will consider people both Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CTA) or Qualified by their experience. They are seeking a capable and calm Manager for the office, someone who can oversee a team working on the R&D claims analysis. Your role would be to review all of this work in a rapidly expanding business, working with the Directorship on daily management, workflow control and overall strategy. This business use the IRIS system. This firm are fresh, flexible and quick growing, with a focus on work / life balance despite their success and a great opportunity for someone keen to work in a fascinating field with unlimited growth opportunity. The salary is open and the firm want to recruit the right person rather than limit that by defining a top level of salary. The role will be reviewing R&D work done by the tax analysts and reviewing reports. This is a great position for an individual coming from practice who would like to move away from timesheets, January deadlines and join a friendly, quick growing and highly flexible company. This could be a full or part time position. ATT or CTA helpful, but not essential. R&D as a subject can be taught in full, so no prior knowledge of R&D is required.
