Overview
Position : Road Freight Forwarder - Imports & Exports Industry : International Freight Forwarding Location: Derby Salary : £26,000 - £30,000 Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 - 17:30 European Road Freight Forwarder required for International Freight and logistics provider based in Derbyshire Experience with European Road Imports & Exports is required for this role About the Company: My client have been operating over 20 years, offering unique and bespoke freight and logistics services on a global scale, to clients and customers alike. This continuously growing company are going from strength to strength and now seek to develop their operation further by expanding their team of dedicated freight forwarders. Their route to success begins with its people and the outstanding level of customer service they deliver. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance for their future development. About the Role: Must have experience of European Road freight operations. You will be responsible for coordinating all road freight export consignments. Operators are required to obtain service options from a wide range of suppliers / Agents, negotiating rates before providing service options to the customer. All customer quotations must be provided verbally and negotiated effectively to secure bookings. All orders must be added to the Operations system and monitored daily, ensuring consignment updates are added to the EBOS tracking screen. Road Freight Forwarder Position Overview: Respond to customer enquiries and source the most appropriate service options. Provide verbal quotations and guidance on service options and negotiate with suppliers and customers to secure the booking. Obtain feedback on every quotation and negotiate to secure the booking. Liaise with customers to develop report and a good understanding of each customers requirements. Place orders on to EBOS and send booking confirmation to the nominated supplier (s). Produce / supply associated documents e.g. Bill of laden, airway bill, collection notes, manifest etc. Liaise with shipper, consignee and / or nominated contact to ensure all transportation details are correct and all parties are kept informed throughout transit. Communicate with UK and overseas agents to effectively manage consignments. Ensure all consignment updates and supplier / customer communication is added to EBOS tracking screen.
