Senior Actuarial Associate - Management Consultancy An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Actuarial Associate to join the growing Financial Services Actuarial division at a multinational consultancy. By being part of the Insurance group - the role will provide advice on a wide range of issues within the non-life Insurance market. Job Title: Senior Actuarial Associate Industry: Insurance (non-Life) Location: City of London Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 The role: Support the existing team in offering a range of actuarial services and tools to a portfolio of clients within the insurance industry. This is expected to primarily include reserving and Solvency II work, but may also cover risk modelling / IFRS 17 and data science. Apply actuarial and statistical skills to review and project complex data-sets and to draw applicable, actuarially sound, business conclusions Able to be involved with diverse projects for a variety of clients concurrently Be a key member of the team delivering actuarial projects for clients Confidently contribute to client meetings at the technical level Ensure line manager is kept fully informed of all developments in your work Maintain good communication and relations with clients Full awareness of the services offered by other departments in the firm and continually look for cross selling opportunities Continue presenting the exams of the IFoA to obtain either Associate or Fellowship The Candidate: Part - Qualified general insurance Actuary (halfway through the exams) Strong technical actuarial knowledge Open minded and critical thinker Some experience of at least one of the following in non-life insurance: reserving; Solvency 2 Technical Provisions; Solvency 2 Standard Formula; Capital Modelling. IFRS 17/ risk management /pricing a benefit. A willingness to be involved in new areas, including an interest in Data Science Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and willing to learn Access and SQL High standard of IT literacy Able to influence internal / external clients and colleagues Keep ahead of regulatory change and address the impact on clients and the opportunities for the firm The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training .
