Your new role The primary focus of the role is to provide technical team leadership and day to day management to a team of skilled Network professionals. You will play a key role in shaping and driving projects, critical pieces of repeatable work and innovative change within your specialist area. Over the next two years the department is embarking on a process of transformational change. In this area the focus will be transitioning our traditional campus network infrastructure to next-generation network services and centralised management. We are looking for a strong technical leader to help guide us on that journey. You will be a key part of the 'Infrastructure Network Team' who are primarily responsible for the management and delivery of our Cisco enterprise network infrastructure. The team along with others makes up the Infrastructure & Operations Department, consisting of approximately 40 staff members across multiple specialist areas. What you'll need to succeed The role requires you to have significant experience of leading technical teams and projects, a strong background in managing enterprise network infrastructure and great interpersonal skills. Experience of leading technical teams to deliver on a range of tasks, projects and outcomes. Extensive knowledge of Networking technologies, having led on design, implementation and support. Experience of supporting critical projects & business processes. A clear understanding and drive to meet security and compliance standards and a 'secure by default' ethos.
