DevOps Manager The company 2i specialises in delivering software testing services for organisations ranging in size from emerging SMEs in the public sector to international finance houses. At the core of our business is the provision of small to large-scale managed testing services, resource augmentation, test governance, automation testing and test consultancy to help with the delivery of a specific project or programme. Location: Edinburgh Duration: 12 months Rate: £400 - £450 per day The purpose of this role Due to increasing project workload, 2i have a headcount demand for 10 roles that we are now looking to source. ·Participate in review of requirements and contribute to detail specification of features for new networking products ·Define test plans and test cases for the release of new features or to be covered by automated regression testing ·Development of test automation infrastructure ·Create, execute, maintain and report on product feature performance, conformance, and regression tests ·Automate QA testing for the features tested during a release ·Record and track product defects ·Recreate customer-reported defects to clarify problem definitions Key Competencies and Required Skills You will need to be able to develop in Python, although candidates able to demonstrate competency in a similar object-orientated language can be considered if they also have TCP/IP networking knowledge. You need to be comfortable with the internals of Linux platforms in an open source environment.
