Robert Half are proud to be partnered with a prestigious retail business based in the heart of Altrincham. Our client is recruiting for a part-time Financial Controller to join their organisation on an 11-month interim basis to cover maternity. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking for flexible part-time working hours. The successful candidate will have strong systems skills and an appetite for process improvement. They will also have previous management experience and enjoy the coaching aspect of the job. Key responsibilities: Monthly management accounts Pulling together in management pack Preparing the more complicated journals Reviewing work of accounts team Review management accounts to ensure accurate and investigating and fixing these where required VAT returns Sending reporting to bank (direct from mgmt accounts) Responsible for 3 members of staff Ad hoc financial reporting to management Information preparation for audit / tax / statutory accounts Person required for this: Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA Must have experience on a range of systems and the aptitude to pick up a new system quickly and apply accounting knowledge to it Previous management experience (desired but not essential) Pro-active Salary & Benefits £50,000 - £60,000 pr / Flexible working hours (3 days a week equivalent) Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
