Group Reporting Accountant PE-backed distribution business £55,000 - £65,000 per annum Stafford The Opportunity: A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Group Reporting Accountant within a private equity-backed £500m t/o distribution business based in the Midlands, with a 1-2 years progression plan to senior management. Due to investment and accelerated growth plans, they are now seeking an experienced Technical Accountant who can take ownership of developing and managing the complex reporting, controls and processes during a period of sustained growth and beyond. Although you will be supported by a respected CFO, this role will involve a significant amount of autonomy to build best in class financial controls during a period of intensive development. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the significant growth of a highly acquisitive business Handling complex reconciliations Working Capital analysis and producing basic financial models via Excel Balance sheet control Preparation of Management Accounts and cash management Implementing best in class financial and operational controls Supporting external audit Preparation of statutory accounts and year end processes Developing controls and systems to facilitate intensive growth and to ensure compatibility About You: Candidates must hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) Demonstratable experience of Working Capital Adept in the use of Excel Experience of cash flow in a leveraged environment is desirable Agile, with the ability to work across multiple projects Experience within handling complex reconciliations Experience within logistics or distribution is highly desirable Motivated to achieve strict deadlines and milestones
