Overview
Our client, a leading specialty insurance group that provide clients with proven smart risk solutions for both underwriting and claims, are looking to recruit a Reinsurance Portfolio Manager to work within the Exposure Management Team and tasked with taking responsibility of all catastrophe modellers within the reinsurance (treaty) modelling team. The successful candidate will ensure that the exposure information and contract details of all treaty accounts are complete and accurate in time for each monthly roll-up, regularly monitoring and reporting usage of appetites, and helping the underwriters optimise their portfolio within available appetite. Other duties will include projects such as operational improvement, providing training to modellers, and any other ad-hoc activities associated with the strategic aims of the Exposure Management team. Candidates must be experienced in CAT Modelling as well as possessing knowledge of SQLProven and a track record of managing budgets and ideally team management experience. You should also possess demonstrable experience of North American and International Treaty business and a thorough understanding of fundamental insurance/reinsurance concepts, slips terms and conditions as well as having a comprehensive understanding of catastrophe modelling software such as RMS Risk Link or AIR Catrader.
