Transport Team Manager - South Elmsall

Transport Team Manager – Permanent after qualifying period. We are currently looking to recruit a full time Transport Shift Manager for an established and expanding company based in the West and South Yorkshire catchment area. You will be required to manage the transport operation throughout the shift with the following areas of responsibility: Role & Responsibilities: ·Maintaining the daily planning for the delivery of 50 routes per day and 90 drivers ·Responsibility for the operation on shift ·Liaising with customer service ·Producing daily reports and reporting to the Management team Manage drivers’ hours in line with driving legislation ·Briefing and Debriefing drivers ·Reacting to and managing vehicle breakdowns ·Ensure all deliveries and collections meet relevant compliance ·Adhere to the Health & Safety procedures ·Answering phones & general admin duties ·Downloading digital Tachograph cards Facilitate a shift hand-over at the start/end of each shift Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Supervisory experience CPC qualified (or prepared to work towards) PC Literate Good communicator / Organised and methodical Ability to work within a deadline orientated Transport operation Ability to operate and interrogate Stirling Planning Software or similar transport information systems Additional Information Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday every week Tuesday - Friday 14:00 - 22:00 Saturday 10:00 - 18:00 Must be prepared to act as a working team member as and when required and be prepared to act as cover to ensure the operation runs to maximum efficiencies.
