We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity within our Commercial Merchandising team for an enthusiastic and commercially driven Category Merchandiser to join our team Ensuring we have the right mix of shows in our Schedule is a vital factor in maximising sales, productivity and margin here at QVC. It’s an exciting challenge, which can be yours? Reporting to a Senior Category Merchandiser, you will develop the yearly departmental bottom up Budget by month for Sales and Airtime. You will lead dialogue with our amazing commercial teams about their Department’s strategies & potential, along with highlighting risks & opportunities in the Financial Budget. Your responsibilities in this role will: Include building detailed sales roadmaps for our world-class live TV shows 6 months ahead of airing and identify if Quarterly Financial Plan is achievable. You will work collaboratively with our outstanding Buying & Planning Team members to provide updates on current performance against plan and Inventory. You will lead discussions and propose what actions to take in view of recent performance. You will take an active part in the brainstorming of strategies making proposals and influencing category strategies. You will provide transparency on impact of decisions and direction. You will liaise with our Senior Category Merchandiser to ensure airtime is being allocated to deliver the best results to the company across all areas. You will supply department plans with expected £min productivity measure. Along with providing clear and measureable performance targets for the commercial teams. Taking the lead role in the presentation of strategy roll up and Roadmap Review meetings. We would like you to be ideally degree qualified (preferably business related) with demonstrable merchandising experience at an advanced Merchandiser/Planner level. With specific focus upon leading product areas with a minimum sales value of circa £50 million. Have you proven experience of commercial decision-making? Strong leadership and communication skills? You will also be analytical and have excellent numerical skills, be assertive and focused on delivery with excellent attention to detail this will be second nature to you.
