JOB DESCRIPTION Assist the team to take appropriate decisions relating to investment in bonds, , interest rate swaps and other credit derivative products, through analysis and reporting relating to the investment portfolio.Take the initiative in analysing credit risks and constructing the corporate bond portfolio as an analyst in order to earn stable income for long term. This is an entry level role where skills are expected to develop through targeted training and on the job experience.Credit analysis work will be on less complex corporate/industries etc.All activities will be heavily supervised.The scope of any trading activity will be described in the delegated authority which will differentiate the scope of responsibilities between the team members as appropriate to their status, skill level and experience. FUNCTION OF ROLE 1. Credit analysis a.In conjunction with the Chief/Senior Manager, analyse European and US corporates for investment in corporate bonds and to a lesser extent credit default swaps . b.Produce regular timely research reports (‘Company Profile’ and ‘Cash Flow Analysis Report’) and recommendations for line management and Head Office.Upon request produce ad hoc analysis and reporting. 2. Trading activities a.Under supervision and direction of management, undertake investment in fixed income bond (inc floating rate notes), REIT and credit derivative products including, single name long/short CDS, index long/short CDS and interest rate swaps. b.The job holder is responsible for “price discovery”, going to brokers or traders to establish a true market value (negotiable). c.All trading decisions are first referred to the Manager for approval 3. Routine administration a.Daily credit news reporting. b.Monthly Investment Universe updating and Sector forecasting. c.Company Profile reporting and Cash Flow Analysis reporting. d.Monthly teleconference with head office counterparts on credit fundamentals information and market conditions.
