Overview

A new opportunity has arisen at our DS Smith Logistics (DSSL) site in Kemsley for a Safety, Fleet and Training Administrator. The role will be responsible for supporting the following areas of the DSSL business: Fleet and compliance, Health, Safety & Environmental Administration and Driver Training. What being a Safety, Fleet & Training Administrator will involve: The role will be heavily administration focussed and will involve an element of customer service. The post holder will need to be able to work autonomously in a quiet office environment, manage their own workload and prioritising their tasks. The post holder will: Be responsible for the accurate upkeep of administration processes, including vehicle information (such as service history), Health & Safety documents, and driver training records. Progress the Fleet Defect and damage repair process in line with the recognised Company procedures. Maintain data base information recording vehicles and trailer assets Provide reports in a format agreed with the persons receiving the information Record information specific to accidents and damage, directly associated with Company vehicles Prompt Driver Trainers and compile Driver Training monthly reports and complete training records Produce monthly invoice summary and backing sheets and send to accounts Prepare and distribute regular Safety, Health and Environmental updates Regularly update systems which carry current, historic, and relevant information. Keep a rolling calendar of important diary updates and system revisions. Work with external authorities to provide admin support for Audits. Analyse data as and when required to support with identifying trends and cost savings. Supports Ad Hoc Projects and Initiatives. Undertake other duties which may be requested by management. Key Competencies: Good team working skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at different levels Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Excellent writing skills and an aptitude for producing reports Show a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility and a self-motivation Fully IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office packages.
