The role is expected to maintain financial policies and the control framework, as well as provide a high-quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance. Responsibilities as our Management Accountant: - Financial month-end close to facilitate financial reporting - Review of monthly expenses and accruals for the business - Posting monthly journals to prepare the segmental P&L and Balance Sheet - Review of daily and monthly reconciliations for the business - Prepare and report on monthly financial performance pack for the business - Assist in the preparation of Board and senior management reporting - Assist with the monthly submission to Group for consolidation - Prepare monthly analytical reviews and other financial metrics to facilitate management, statutory and board reporting - Prepare and report of regulatory returns together with a monitoring framework to ensure the business maintains its minimum regulatory capital requirements - Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including data preparation, variance analysis and final reporting - Review of third party advisor and franchise fee calculations - Assist in the annual budget and periodic reforecasting cycles - Assist in the periodic tax reporting requirements for the business To become our Management Accountant, you will have the below skills and experience: - Proven experience as management/financial accountant, or similar role - Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices - Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office - Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial - Organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines - Analytical mind and a problem-solver with attention to detail - Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen - BSc/BA in accounting, finance or similar field - Part/Fully qualified with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or other similar certifications Closing Date: Friday 20th March 2020 Working for Vitality , you'll experience an exciting mix of creativity and innovation, within a framework of challenging objectives and a passion for delivering the best.
