Overview
Due to rapid growth an exciting opporunity has arisen for an end to end credit controller to join a busy but rewarding finance team where you will play a pivotal part in reducing the overdue invoices and helping the team to achieve collection targets. Client Details My client is a well established market leader based in Wigan. They are looking for a candidate with good analytical and problem solving skills and with an ability to identify process improvement opportunities. A candidate who can build strong relationships with their employees and clients to ensure the best possible service is provided. Description The role responsibilities will include: Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email or letter within agreed timescales Communicate in a professional manner with various stakeholders Monitor the delivery of invoices and discuss any trends with the Credit Manager Check account status and send monthly statements Ensure an effective communication with the Credit Manager to raise any potential opportunities or problem debts; report on the effect this has on the cash collection targets Attend internal meetings to discuss debt with the legal teams, as required Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliations as required Assist Finance to resolve client balances Profile The successful candidate will: Have an ability to actively engage in the business, through strong verbal communication skills and a pro-active approach Have strong interpersonal skills Be able to work independently or as part of a team, while planning and prioritising tasks effectively Have excellent attention to detail The successful candidate should: At least 2 years of practical experience in Credit Control Have relevant experience within a professional services environment.
