Credit Controller - £20800 per annum Your new company Our client is a very successful, well run Manufacturing Company based in Ashton in Makerfield Your new role Working in a team of 5 this is a varied role and duties will include: Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner Meet cash and debtor day targets as set by the Company Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms Provide accurate information on invoice queries Respond promptly and completely to both customers and internal enquires Propose write off for irrecoverable debt Prepare files for transfer to the Debt Recovery Department Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested Post payments to accounts and allocate payments on a daily basis Undertake account reconciliations as required Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required Ensure that weekly/monthly collection of Direct Debits Send out weekly/monthly customer statements Review and approve the monthly write off Schedule and communicate to all appropriate personnel Maintain appropriate documents, documentation and other information in the customer credit files Review and monitor compliance with staff members, the policies and procedures of security agreements (guarantees, bonds, etc.) Keep abreast of all law pertaining to collection, bankruptcy, bonds, liens and judgements What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a confident Credit Controller with a good telephone manner, someone ho is happy working on her own initiative to set deadlines and procedures.
