Overview
Assistant Accountant Your new company You will be working for a reputable well established organisation who are growing from strength to strength. Their office is based on the outskirts of Selby within beautiful surroundings. Your new role You will be reporting to the Financial Controller, Responsible for the day-to-day accounting duties to support the Finance function, including maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, reporting, filing, and other ad-hoc duties. This is great role if you are looking to progress your career within accounts and gain experience and exposure to all areas of finance. Key duties Providing support to the entire Finance function Allocating receipts in accordance with customer remittances Posting and allocation of payments Chasing debts by telephone Producing and developing Financial Reports Processing monthly statements Reporting on key AR/AP performance indicators Acting as the primary contact for the calculation and provision of rebates What you'll need to succeed Essential Previous finance experience Excellent communication skills Highly motivated Excellent Excel skills Strong attention to detail Flexibility and adaptability Desirable Accounts Payable experience Working towards, is interested in achieving, or has achieved a Finance based qualification (e.g. AAT) What you'll get in return A competitive salary, the offer of study support and the opportunity to progress your career.
